RAW TURMERIC

Raw Turmeric powder is made from the root of Curcuma zedoaria, a form of ginger native to Southeast Asia. Its active ingredient, curcumin, is what gives it that yellow-orange tinge; it's also what makes it such a potent anti-inflammatory. Western brands have only recently taken note of something Eastern cultures have known for hundreds of years, and because of it, they've begun to include turmeric in their products as well.

 Benefits of Turmeric for Skin

Anti-everything effects: Turmeric has anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and antioxidant effects, which can benefit the skin in many ways.

Helps skin ailments: Turmeric has been reported to help with eczema, psoriasis, acne, and wound healing. Purified curcumin can be used instead if you want to use a serum since it's colorless.

Lightens pigmentation: Turmeric contains the antioxidant curcumin, which is also anti-inflammatory and can lighten pigmentation.

Healing: It helps heal and prevent dry skin.

Anti-aging: Turmeric slows the skin aging process, and is used to diminish wrinkles, keep skin supple, and improve skin’s elasticity. Turmeric contains curcuminoid pigments which help the body in synthesizing antioxidants. These antioxidants protect the skin cells from free radical damage and can even slow down the signs of aging like dark spots, fine lines, and wrinkles.

 Reduces scars and heals wounds:

The anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric work on your pores and calm the skin. Turmeric is also known to reduce scarring and heal any kind of wound faster due to its antiseptic qualities.

Turmeric For Face

Turmeric is a great ingredient to be used in homemade face packs that can be used to cure a number of skin problems. This golden spice is very effective against acne and redness due to its anti-bacterial properties. It helps in destroying the acne-causing bacteria and also removes the excess oil from the skin.

Mix ½ teaspoon of turmeric with 2 teaspoons of sandalwood and some milk to make a paste. Apply it all over your face and leave it to dry. Wash off and then repeat few times in a week to see results.

Turmeric with lemon juice: Lemon juice has bleaching properties and turmeric imparts a glow. Turmeric powder mixed with lemon juice can help in lightening pigmentation and discoloration. With regular use, you will see your skin tone becoming more even.

Turmeric with milk:

Turmeric when mixed with milk and applied to the skin helps fight free radicals that damage your skin. Mix turmeric powder with raw milk and apply it all over your face and neck. Let it dry and wash off for glowing and younger-looking skin.

 Turmeric with honey

This mix will help you get glowing skin while moisturizing it from the inside. Honey is a natural moisturizer while turmeric brightens skin. Together honey and turmeric make a great and easy face pack to perk up your skin.

Turmeric with coconut oil

Both turmeric and coconut oil have anti-fungal properties. Coconut oil is also a great moisturizer. Mix turmeric powder with pure coconut oil and apply to your skin to reduce redness, inflammation, and dry patches. Wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth and your skin will feel rejuvenated.

Turmeric with water

This simple mixture when applied daily can help reduce unwanted hair growth. Take the root of turmeric and make a paste with water by rubbing it on a clean, uneven surface. Apply this mix on areas where you want to curb hair growth, let dry and wash away with water. Do this as often as possible to see the difference.

Turmeric with olive oil

Turmeric contains many antioxidants that can help make your skin look young and fresh. Olive oil will help retain the elasticity of the skin. Mix turmeric powder and olive oil and use them on your face and neck. Let it stay while and massage lightly to help stimulate the growth of new cells. Wash off later to reveal supple skin.

Turmeric with lemon juice and honey

This potent combination can help you fight acne and pimples and also remove dullness from your skin. Make a paste with turmeric powder, lemon juice, and honey and apply to your face and neck. Let it dry and wash with lukewarm water. Regular use will make your skin brighter and help treat acne.

NEEM OIL

 NEEM OIL

Neem oil is extracted from the neem tree. It is very beneficial for both skin and hair health. It is used as a medicine for some skin diseases. Neem oil is rich in fatty acids such as palmitic, linoleic, and oleic acids, which help support healthy skin. Oil is, therefore, a popular ingredient in skincare products. Antiseptic properties of neem add immense value to various products such as medicines and beauty and cosmetic products. It is also used in pesticides and as a natural insect repellent. Neem oil has countless benefits.

Here are some of the benefits

• Bed bugs can be annoying and uncomfortable to deal with. Neem oil is a major tool that can help control bed bugs.

• Neem is a natural insecticide, which means it will not cause harm to your skin but in return will add benefits of shooing away unwanted bugs.

• Mixing neem oil with coconut oil and then applying it all over the skin can help you repel mosquitoes for up to 12 hours.

Black seed oil is extracted from the seeds of Nigella sativa, a plant native to southwest Asia. It is used by some for the treatment of asthma, diabetes, hypertension, weight loss, and other conditions. One of its key components is thymoquinone, a compound with antioxidant properties. There is scientific evidence to support some, but not all uses for black seed oil.

The black seed oil has a long history of use dating back over 2000 years. In fact, according to some sources, it was discovered in the tomb of King Tut. The oil is sold by supplement retailers for topical use and in capsule form for oral consumption. Nigella sativa seeds are sometimes used in Middle Eastern and Indian cuisine and have a slightly bitter taste. It is also known as black cumin seed oil, kalonji oil, etc.

Black Cumin Seed Oil for Acne

Excess sebum that clogs pores will find it hard to sabotage the skin when you are using a product with Black Cumin Seed Oil. Those with redness and irritation caused by acne may find soothing relief because of the anti-inflammatory properties.

Black Cumin Seed Oil for Improved Skin Tone & Elasticity

Black Cumin Seed Oil is rich in anti-aging Vitamin A, helping to strengthen collagen and elastin fibers in the skin. Black Cumin Seed also contains an abundance of fatty acids and amino acids to help fade the appearance of brown spots and even out the skin tone.

Black Cumin Seed Oil for Skin Protection

Black Cumin Seed Oil helps to protect the skin from free radical damage because of its potent antioxidant benefits. These environmental factors can lead to premature skin aging, uneven texture, and brown spots.

Black Cumin Seed Oil for Moisture

If your skin is in need of a moisture boost, Black Cumin Seed Oil helps address that concern too. Black Cumin Seed helps skin retain moisture, leading to a plump and healthy appearance. Additionally, this skin-loving oil contains Vitamins B and C to hydrate and brighten. Vitamin B also helps to produce healthy new skin cells.

Benefits of  black cumin seed  oil for hair

  • Promotes hair growth
  • Prevents premature greying
  • Moisturises dry hair

  • Reverses hair damage
  • Improves scalp health
  • Restricts hair fall
Promotes hair growth: One of the main benefits of using black seed oil or kalonji oil is that it is an excellent way to promote hair growth naturally. This is because it is a rich source of nigellone and thymoquinone, both potent antihistamines, which are commonly prescribed for people with androgenic alopecia or alopecia areata. Since kalonji oil is a natural source of antihistamines, it does not have any side effects and is completely safe to use.

Prevents premature greying

Another benefit of using kalonji oil for hair is that its regular use helps to not just prevent premature graying but also reverses greying of hair in a number of cases. This happens because of the high content of linoleic acid, which helps prevent the reduction of the black pigment cells in your follicles. This property of kalonji oil is what helps keep your hair black and shiny for a longer period of time.

Moisturises dry hair

If you have dry and frizzy hair, giving your hair a kalonji oil massage will do you a world of good.  Kalonji helps regularise the sebum production in your scalp. What this means is, if your scalp produces less sebum than it should, using kalonji oil on your scalp will help normalize this production. This will ensure you have properly conditioned and healthy hair, without making it look greasy. Additionally, since black seed oil is brimming with fatty amino acids, it seals moisture into your hair shaft, thus reducing frizz and making your hair appear properly conditioned.

Reverses hair damage

Our hair undergoes a lot of stress each day. Free radicals formed due to external factors such as dirt, pollution, sun damage, and other impurities end up wreaking havoc on our strands, leaving them dull, lifeless, and damaged. To undo and repair this damage, you don’t need to indulge in expensive hair care treatments, all you need to do is regularly massage your hair and scalp with kalonji oil. This is because black seed oil is an excellent source of antioxidants, which help neutralize the effects of free radicals in the environment and protect your hair against damage. Additionally, the nourishing properties of this oil help reverse the damage and keep your hair looking super healthy and lustrous.

Improves scalp health

Another great benefit is that it helps improve the health of your scalp. This is because black seed oil is a rich source of anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, and analgesic (pain-killing) properties, all of which are really important to keep your scalp clean and problem-free. Therefore, massaging your scalp with kalonji oil is an excellent way to reduce dandruff, itchiness and stimulate hair follicles to promote growth.

Restricts hair fall

One of the biggest benefits is that it helps restrict hair fall and makes your hair grow long and strong. This is because kalonji oil is chock-full of different types of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals, all of which work like a dream to nourish and strengthen your hair, and in turn, reduce hair fall. When you massage your scalp with this oil, it helps stimulate dormant hair follicles, fortifies them, and curbs excess hair fall.

Castor oil

Castor oil is the pale yellow liquid extracted from castor seeds and is very rich in antioxidants. You may have not known this but castor oil is a natural beauty ingredient that can solve most of your skin and hair problems. Castor oil has been an age-old remedy for hair and skin-related issues. It is an elixir for beautiful hair and supple skin. Castor oil contains Vitamin E, proteins, and Omega 6 & 9 that are the key components responsible for good hair and skin. It helps in the reduction of hair fall, premature graying of the hair, fights any scalp-related problems along accelerating hair growth. For your skin, be it pigmentation, acne, or aging, castor oil is the solution to it all. In addition to this, castor oil is also known for its anti-bacterial properties and various medicinal benefits.

Benefits of castor oil for skin and hair

Used topically, castor oil's fatty acids can help moisturize and nurture almost every part of your body. Here's how to add castor oil to your beauty and skincare routine:

Face
  • Acne: The antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties of castor oil make it useful in reducing acne. Ricinoleic acid can inhibit growth in the bacteria that cause acne.
  • Texture: Castor oil is also rich in other fatty acids. These can enhance smoothness and softness when applied to facial skin.
  • Complexion: The fatty acids in castor oil can also promote the growth of healthy skin tissue, making it helpful in restoring uneven skin tones.
  • Sensitive skin: Castor oil has a low comedogenic score. This means it is unlikely to clog pores in the skin and reduces the risk of developing blackheads making it appropriate for use on sensitive skin.
  • Inexpensive: Skincare products, and in particular facial creams and oils, can be very expensive. Castor oil is relatively low-cost and shares many similar properties, such as promoting a healthful complexion or moisture in the skin.
  • Skin

    • Anti-inflammatory: Both castor oil and ricinoleic acid have demonstrated anti-inflammatory properties. This makes them useful for treating irritated skin.
    • Antimicrobial: It may also protect the skin.

    • Moisturizing: Castor oil contains triglycerides. These can help maintain, moisture

    • Hydration: Castor oil may have humectant properties, which means that it can draw moisture from the air into the skin, keeping the skin hydrated.
    • Cleansing: The triglycerides found in castor oil are also helpful in removing dirt from the skin.

While castor oil contains many chemicals linked to improved skin health, there has been limited research into the dermatological benefits of castor oil. It might be more effectively put to use alongside other treatments.
